Two are the characteristics that lead to success: the strict control of production and the ability to collaborate with companies that adopt our own dogmatic intransigence. From here, in 2015 was born between KRIMA s.r.l. and TACS s.n.c, Manifattura Casentinese s.r.l. the network of producers of casentino cloth, a new registered trademark guaranteeing respect for the production phases and the quality of the finished products.The certification of the individual products is marked by the presence of the brand on our garments, which certifies that the production chain took place in Casentino and according to the national canons of Made in Italy. With this additional attention, we ensure every day a production of original Casentino Cloth that not only strikes for aesthetics, but encloses in itself those qualities (even more imperceptible) decisive for excellence.
CASENTINO CLOTH
An excellence of Italian fashion for over 600 years
The Casentino cloth is a traditional wool fabric typical of Casentino. The fabric is fulled (felted) to make it waterproof and brushed to get a hairy side.
- The birth of the first Casentino Cloth is attested in 1537: the success of this new product was very fast thanks to the resistance and compactness, first in the lower classes but later also in the higher ones, also thanks to the competitive price.
Become a cult in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s , the casentino cloth has been able to maintain its value of Italian excellence in the world also in contemporary fashion.

- Travertine is a valuable material has been used since Roman times for the construction of important monuments and historic buildings. Due to their abundance and ease of processing, travertine quarries contributed to the construction of architectural works of great artistic and historical value, such as the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Even today, travertine extracted from the quarries is used in various fields, from construction to sculpture, due to its natural beauty and durability.
